United are running out of things to play for this season. They lost early in their Carabao Cup defence, they are out of the Champions League and missed out on qualifying for Europe as they failed to even come third in their group. All that is left is to try and finish as high up the Premier League as possible and to fare well in the FA Cup. The future for the club, at present, looks far from positive.
Now they are out of Europe, United have a difficult trip to Anfield where they will take on Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday.
